Pretty soon it will be time to pack away this and all the Christmas decorations. I thought I'd make a couple mosaics for you to see the decorations before then. If you left click on the mosaic it will enlarge the photo. The display of cloches, glitter, angels, house, etc in the first mosaic is something new for me this year. I was inspired by some of the other blogs and went through my home and found all the items you see in the photos. A lot of it was packed up and forgotten about. I'm so grateful for the inspiration received. This was my favorite display this year.
The little ornament with the three squirrels (middle row, right side) is new this year. I love scripture, I love squirrels and I love the number three (as in grandbabies of course). This ornament has all of that. It makes me smile!
The second mosaic has the ornaments I made for my children many years ago and a couple new swap treasures. It also "shows off" my plastic tree ~ I was very happy with it and so were the little ones. They could touch to their hearts content! See the little striped tree (top row, right side) I found it at Dollar Tree. It's a candy cane without the cane! I love it.
Well, that should be it for Christmas photos from me. It was such a special time for our family!!

Hi! Enjoyed this last look at Christmas! Yes, the blogs inspired me to fall in love with some things I hadn't noticed before: cloches, glitter houses, bottle brush trees, apothecary jars, etc. Love them - but I didn't really need more collections - too late!

I love the mosaics! You know they would make beautiful Christmas cards for next year! :) Where did you find the nativity set? It reminds me of the little fisher price or maybe its precious moment characters.

Hi Marie! I haven't been here in a while... Happy New Year to you!
ReplyDeleteYour nativity is so cute... I once painted one that was cut from a single piece of pine, then the figures were cut apart like a simple puzzle. Our church secretary bought it for in her office because the kids that go to the preschool always stop in to see her first and she thought it would be safe for them.
How did you make those photo mosaics? I LOOOVE how they look and would like to give it a shot, although my computer skills are, um, how should I put this... close to non-existant! Thanks a bunch!
Have a great weekend, Kimberly
Marie... This year I've decided to leave my Christmas decor up an extra week or so.. (We didn't put it up until the week before Christmas so I'm entitled!)
ReplyDeleteI received my wonderful box of giveaway goodies and will be posting about them this afternoon... drop by and see me in French Lique...
New Year Blessings. Dixie
I love your picture mosaics. And the "plastic" tree turned out real nice. Very smart about the nativity, too. I really love that set! I've never seen anything like it. Great for the little ones.
ReplyDeleteI'm slowly packing up my C'mas as well. :o( Took me weeks to get it all out . . . gonna take at least half that long to get packed and organized.
Happy New Year!
Carla
The title of your blog fits you to a tee, or is it tea? You and I fit for tea...I like that...onwards...
ReplyDeleteYour title fits you because you are always spinning your heart around something. The mosaic idea is wonderful and I love the fact the snow is falling on your blog while you do it! Smiling, all because of you-hugs Jacqueline
Marie, I love the mosaics, what a nice way to wrap up the season. My kids had that nativity as well, but alas they grow up and move onto other toys. My daughter received from her God-mother a cookie cutter set of the nativity. Can't wait until we can give that a try next Christmas.
