Grandpa & the Margarita

Mandy made herself a Margarita tonight and she thought that her Grandpa might like one too.

Mandy: Grandpa would you like a Margarita?
Grandpa:  Will it have an olive in it?
Mandy: No, it's not a Martini.
Grandpa: How about a little onion? (he LOVES onions!)
Mandy: No, it's a Margarita not a Martini. It will have a lime. We'll have them after dinner.
***
Mandy: Here you go. I made yours extra special. I added a strawberry.
Grandpa: No olive?
Mandy: Nope!
Grandpa: No onion?
Mandy: Grandpa, it's a Margarita....not a Martini!

After he drank about half of it he asked me if it was a "Shirley Temple" drink.  He said he didn't really taste much alcohol.  He asked me what kind of alcohol was "suppose to be in it?"  I told him Tequila. He said "next time it needs more Tequila".

He liked the umbrella and ate the strawberry but "it could still use an olive!"

He makes us smile!

  1. Good Evening Marie Sweetie...
This is so darn cute. So now when Mandy makes Grandpa a margarita next time, I would venture to say it will have a little more tequila and an olive, yes? This my friend is priceless. I love this story. Just precious.

Thank you for sharing this evening.

    Country hugs sweetie...Sherry

  3. Who says it has to be a martini to have an olive in it. I say once you reach a certain age you can put an olive in whatever you want, you deserve it :) Cute story.
