Update & Sad News

My foot surgery (to remove a "soft tissue mass" to quote the doctor) went well ~ now I'm just waiting for the pathology report - necessary because the "mass" changed suddenly.
I should receive that report next Monday.
However, it doesn't really seem to matter right now.

The same day (1/11) that I was having the surgery my good friend and co-worker lost her husband.  Joan's husband Tom had a heart attack.  Gone...in an instant.  Their lives changed...in an instant.

Psalm 23
The LORD is my shepherd;
I shall not want.
He makes me to lie down in green pastures;
He leads me beside the still waters.
He restores my soul;
He leads me in the paths of righteousness
For His name’s sake.
Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,
I will fear no evil;
For You are with me;
Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me.
You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies;
You anoint my head with oil;
My cup runs over.
Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me
All the days of my life;
And I will dwell in the house of the LORD
Forever.

  5. Oh, what sad news of the sudden loss of your friends husbands. We lost a 53 year old friend the same way in October. He was healthy, strong, fit and a huge mentor to men in our church. But the Lord called him home in a instant.

    Praying your foot heals quickly and test results are good.

    Love, Lorraine
