Thrifty Thursday

Score!!
No, not sports.
I scored on Craigslist!

Not one, not two, not even three...I found four quilts on Craigslist.
All from one seller.  Two are hand quilted and two quilted by machine.  Each one needs a tiny bit of repair...just a loose seam here or there.
But over all, each one is in very good to excellent condition.
Best part?  I paid $80.00 for all four of them.  $20.00 each!!

These are the photos that were on Craigslist.  I'll take photos of where they
ended up, so I can share them here someday.

My favorite is the second one...which one is your favorite?

  3. That's awesome. Great deal. My favorite is #3, even though I don't like pink, there's something about those wreaths that make it beautiful. Hmmm, wonder where these will end up... I guess I will see in a few weeks.

  4. Wow Marie, you must really search Craig's list. Thought Geoff was best at that. These are all lovely. Can't wait to see where you use them. I like the last one the best. Happy for your find. Stay warm. Pj

  6. These are all lovely. As a quilter, I can only think of all the hours that went into each. I'm anxious to see how you use them in your home. All are wonderful and I'd have a hard time choosing a favorite.

  7. Marie, Lucky for me I was just organizing my quilting books yesterday. I found examples of three of your quilts in Better Homes and Gardens American Patchwork & Quilting. So far I haven't found quilt # 3. Your first quilt is a 25 patch set on the diagonal, the next quilt is Trip Around the World (also known as Sunshine and Shadow) and the last quilt is a traditional 9 patch. All three are featured in the section "Learning to piece with squares and rectangles". Hope this helps.
