Well the ceiling is up, the floor is laid and the blue paint is on the walls. Bill still has to paint the door ~ it looks like it's blue but it's not. It still has the same finish on it that it came with...kind of a chalky white that's picking up the wall color. He'll be painting it to match the "cottage white" trim. We also have to pick out some type of cabinets. I have some pictures in my head but haven't found exactly what I want yet.
We'll be covering the lower half of the wall opposite the washer and dryer with wallpaper beadboard also painted the trim color. I read about the wallpaper here on Southern Hospitality - a great blog to visit by the way. I'd like to trim the top edge of the "beadboard" with some molding. My daughter Katie suggested that artwork by my grandbabies would look perfect on the upper half of the wall. It'll be at least a couple years before that will happen so maybe I'll use some of my children's artwork instead!
