I recently participated in a swap hosted by Jillayne. In addition to myself, twelve very talented ladies (including Jillayne) also participated. We each made five 5x5 inch art squares in the medium of our choice.
I used (mostly) paper for my 5x5 inch creations.
Lucky me! I received a wonderful assortments of art work back.
I'd love to share them with you.
This "shadow box" square is from Genevieve of gm glimmer glass.
The details in this one are so beautiful.

This wintery treat is from Tina of One Wild Swan.
Doesn't it look icey cold!

I love this winter angel.
It looks like she's in the middle of a blizzard of sequin snowflakes!
Thank you to Freda from sew whats new.
Marcia of The Painted Gift painted this cute square.
Love the fluffy sheep standing on the festive candy cane.
This pretty poinsettia was created by Susan from Suztats.
The tatted center is the perfect touch.

It's quite a collection....don't you think! Each piece will be a wonderful addition to my Christmas/winter decorations. The initial idea was to link these all together vertically and display as one piece of art. I may still do that ~ but I'm also thinking about spreading my treasures around the house a little bit.
That way I'll see (and enjoy) them more often.
Not only did Jillayne host this swap she participated in it as well. So she had her own squares to create and all our squares to organize and distribute (read more about that here). But she still found time to create a gift for all the swappers as well. I love the little pouch she made for each of us. It holds our 5x5 squares inside. And the crazy quilted heart was a wonderful surprise as well. It's already hanging on my inspiration board in my craft room. There are so many creative women out there. Having this blog has allowed me to meet more of them then I ever thought I would! How great is that!

You really got some pretty stuff there. Looks like there were some very talented ladies participating in that swap. Love that bag to hold them too. It must have felt a bit like Christmas getting those.
Hi Marie! I am so glad you liked all your squares. I received lovely ones as well! This was my first swap, and Jillayne made it so delightful with all the extra goodies, and being a wonderful swap boss. Have a good one1
Glad you like them! I think we all did an amazing job and now have a lovely little art collection started - 5" squares just make it all seem so manageable! Thank you so much for participating in this Swap - it was a lot of fun for me and I am glad to know it was for you too!
