A Wonderful Tree

I met this tree last Sunday.  Isn't it marvelous!  I'd love to picnic under it, or build a treehouse in it, or climb it, or hang a tire swing from it and swing so high.
But it's not my tree. It's on the grounds of a historic home that I visited.

So I took photos of it.  It will be nice to look at them and think of all the wonderful things my grandchildren and I could do if this were our tree.

For in the true nature of things, if we rightly consider, every green tree is far more glorious than if it were made of gold and silver. ~Martin Luther

I found this photo saved on my laptop...so I can't credit the source.  But wouldn't this be another great thing to do with this tree!  Just imagine the singing you'd hear from all those happy birds!

Beautiful, Marie- I would love a tour on a big swing there, with my grandchild, too :)
And birds in a "sky schraber" wow.

That is an awesome climbing tree. Was this in virginia? It reminds me of the south, for some reason.
