An Apple A Week?

I love Honeycrisp apples.
But lately the grocery store we usually get them at has been carrying softball sized apples.  That puts the cost of ONE Honeycrisp at almost $4.00!
You know what they say about an apple a day...but at this rate it might be cheaper to hang out with the doctor!!  But I really love them!  Maybe once a week, for an extra-special treat!

A large Honeycrisp Apple can grow up to 3 1/2 inches in diameter, and weighs about 8 oz.
It contains about 116 calories.
A large Honeycrisp Apple has about .4 g of fat, .1 mg of saturated fat and no cholesterol. It has 31 g of carbohydrates, 23 coming from sugar and 5.4 g coming from dietary fiber.
A single large Honeycrisp apple provides 21 percent of the
daily recommended value of dietary fiber.
The fiber in a Honeycrisp is water soluble, the kind of fiber that balances blood sugar, lowers cholesterol, enhances digestion and quells your appetite!

I've never heard of a Honeycrisp apple. I know we don't carry them at our store. That's pretty pricey for one apple but like you said a once a week special treat.

I'm feeling the same way about my blueberries! They just don't seem to want to go on sale. At $4 for 6 ounces, I figure it's costing me about 65 cents a day to have a few in my cereal every morning!
