We're fortunate to live near Washington DC....they have some of the best fireworks ever! The setting is perfect with the Washington monument and the U. S. Capitol in the background...it forms a beautiful and patriotic backdrop to America's Independence Day celebrations. Makes you wish you'd been there, doesn't it?! The celebration lasts all day long and the crowds are humongous!! I think everyone should experience it at least once in their lifetime. Or maybe not......did I mention the crowds!?
We were perfectly content to celebrate in our own backyard with our own amazing "pyrotechnic" display! It was wonderful and the crowd was much easier to manage than the one in DC.
Our fireworks were pretty awesome ~ we even had a reflecting pool! DC has nothing on us!
Ah ha! So you were among the noise-makers last night who wouldn't let me sleep! Glad you had a good time with friends and family! Pictures are great!
