Pinned It and Did It!

I'm on a roll.....two "pinned it and did it" in one week!  Woo Hoo!
This "pin" was found on one of Carola ~ Boxwood Cottage's pin boards.  Aren't these the prettiest acorns you ever saw!

Here's my version....I'm happy with how they turned out.  I made a dozen and plan to make another dozen soon.  I threaded some quilting thread through the acorn cap, glittered it with Diamond Dust (the inspiration acorns have silver German glass glitter) and then glued the cap to a felted ball.  Easy peasy!!

Now what shall I make next??

  2. These are really fun! I think they'd look good in a mix of different colors too.

  8. These are way more adorable than anything I've seen! I bet you felted that ball, too, didn't you? I've always had trouble getting them felted well, but this is so inspirational, I just might have to have another try at it!

I came here because I received one of your wonderful tags in Karla's birdsong swap. I haven't posted my book yet -- hope to get it photographed this weekend and get something up soon. I'm already tardy in saying thanks, but I really do love your tag with its string nest! Thanks!
