It's not often that I get a day off from work with no appointments scheduled, no errands to run, no "have to get this done today" kind of list. Yesterday was that kind of day. (insert big smile here!)
I cleaned a little, hemmed curtains, enjoyed a quick visit from Jacqi & Penelope, watched some daytime TV (HGTV & news) while enjoying tea, strawberries & cheese, and just simply enjoyed the day.
I also spent some time just walking around the yard with my camera (trying to ignore all the work that needs to be done). The weather was perfect...sunny and a little breezy. Just right for crawling around taking photos of little acorns on the ground. It's like they posed themselves...just waiting for me to have a bit of time to come and discover them...click, click!
While "crawling" around I looked up and saw this....Click!
"A picture is worth a thousand words".
Indeed.......

So right Marie...I love when God speaks to us in ways like that! I have always enjoyed acorns..I used to make tiny dolls out of them with toothpicks when I was a youngun :) My yard is always full of them as I have a huge oak tree over my house.....blessings dear friend.
Your pictures are so pretty. How nice that you were able to enjoy the outdoors...just you and your camera.
Love these photos, Marie! Just soo lovely! I have such an appreciation for God's creation! Always a joy to see someone capture some of it's beauty! Thanks for the smile!!
Hugs,
Becky
