I spotted this arrangement in a shop in Pennsylvania a couple months ago. The owner of the shop was kind enough to let me snap a photo of it....I had those exact little creamy flowers at home, and I purchased some poppies right after I took the photo.
Here's what I came up with.
I put a mason jar inside the burlap sack.
This will be perfect for fresh flowers as well.
I don't have a flag for it ~ but since there's a really big flag hanging on the wall behind it, I might not add one.

I'm really happy with the way it looks....except for maybe one thing.
The Baker's Twine....I'm not sure I love it.
It's so white ( and red).

Maybe I need to tea-dye it. Or maybe I need to use some jute
and/or homespun like the inspiration piece.
Any opinions out there?
Please.....

Oh I love it...it's so cute!! Maybe tea dye it like you said. Thanks for sharing!
Tea-dye it. Just enough to take the edge off.
I like your arrangement better than the one you photographed. Tea staining would be a good option but it also looks great just the way you did it. So clever to put a jar inside for fresh flowers! You could change the "tie" with the seasons....just saying. :D

I love the original and your version. So cute. Personally I'm a huge fan of homespun so I would probably use that. I've been using a ton of jute twine in projects though too. Try out all the ideas and just go with whichever you like the best.
