Praying for Boston

Praying His Peace Surrounds You...
His Hope Fills You...
His Love Comforts You -
As Jesus Walks With You
Through This Time.

Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of His might. Put on the full armor of God, so that you will be able to stand firm against the schemes of the devil. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the powers, against the world forces of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places. Therefore, take up the full armor of God, so that you will be able to resist in the evil day, and having done everything, to stand firm.
Ephesians 6:10-13

God Bless America

Have a happy day...to all!

God who gave us life gave us liberty. And can the liberties of a nation be thought secure when we have removed their only firm basis, a conviction in the minds of the people that these liberties are a gift from God? ... I tremble for my country when I reflect that God is just; that his justice cannot sleep forever.

Me & The Grand Old Flag

Continuing with the challenge to have a complaint free week...I want to praise the Lord for our country.
Today is Flag Day.

The Flag..."the emblem of the land I love,
The home of the free and the brave."

What a blessing to live in this country.  Even in the midst of all that is wrong there is so much more right about our land.  Thank you Lord, you could have put me anywhere, thank you for putting me here....where I'm free to praise You.

You're a grand old flag,
You're a high flying flag,
And forever, in peace, may you wave,
You're the emblem of
The land I love,
The home of the free and the brave.
Ev'ry heart beats true
'Neath the red, white, and blue,
Where there's never a boast or brag,
But, should auld acquaintance be forgot,
Keep you eye on the grand old flag.

My sticky note reminder for today:

"The Grand Old Flag...."

Speaking of old....I'm 56 years old today.
Happy Birthday to me!
When I was a little girl a lot more homes displayed flags on Flag Day than do now.  I used to think they were putting them up for me, 'cause it was my birthday!

Praising God for life!!  Thanking Him for giving me such a wonderful one!
