We love Hockey ~ in fact we love it so much that we took a trip to Toronto just so we could visit

The Hockey Hall of Fame!

I really wanted my daughters to pose in the goalie equipment ~ but they refused! Look at my Mom! What a good sport she was!

We are Detroit Red Wings fans. Right now Round 3 of the play-offs are going on. Detroit is playing the Chicago Black Hawks. Detroit leads the series 1-0. Here's Bill looking at one of Chicago's jerseys...I'm sure he's not impressed! Go Wings!!

There was a lot of interactive fun. Here Katie and my Mom are just blending in with the crowd.

Bill and Mandy are learning interesting facts about the Stanley Cup. This, by the way, was a replica of the Stanley Cup. The real cup was traveling with the Stanley Cup champions....and who were the champions that year? The DETROIT RED WINGS!!

"Since 1995, the Stanley Cup has spent its summers travelling around the globe as the special guest of the NHL's championship team, its players and management. Each Stanley Cup champion assumes possession of the trophy for 24 hours.....".

"The Cup", hockey's holy grail, visits locations around the globe. It rides in boats & parades, gets filled with babies & jello, and goes to movies & barbeques. "The Cup" leads a very fun life! You can read about the travels in the Stanley Cup Journal.

We had a great time in Toronto. The Hockey Hall of Fame was a lot of fun to visit ~ we did see a few other sights too! But the real reason was hockey. We love hockey ~ we watch a lot of it ~ we have little traditions revolving around hockey ~ we're actually a bit over-the-top when it comes to hockey. I think I'm going to leave the explaining of all that to another time and probably another blog. I think my daughter Mandy is the one to tell that tale!
