My Laundry Room

THIS is my laundry room.
It has four walls (sort of), no ceiling and a concrete floor. I loathe it!

It doesn't have an interior door ~ which makes it easy to hear the washer & dryer from the family room. Gotta love that!

The laundry room has a closet ~ the closet doesn't have a door either. But that just allows for more stuff to be stuffed into it AND the red bins storing the Christmas decorations certainly do brighten the room up! I try to keep a positive outlook about my laundry room.

Did you notice the convenient rod for the hangers? Never fails that it's full of freshly laundered clothing whenever we need to get into the freezer below it.

I'm sure you noticed the focal wall ~ silver is a good color for a laundry room! One of my favorite features is the exposed beam ceiling!

Do you see the bins on the left side of the photo? That gives you an idea of how wide the room is. It isn't a large room ~ it's about 6x12 feet. But definitely a more than adequate size.
But the very BEST thing about my laundry room is that it's going to be re-modeled next week!!! Beginning on Monday ~ if all goes as scheduled. Yippee!

We've already made the first change ~ a brand new exterior door! Check it out! It's white (for now) and has brushed nickel hardware. The mini-blind is "sandwiched" between two pieces of glass. A drop ceiling with new light fixtures will go in. Pipes will be moved so wallboard can go up ~ all four walls will have wallboard!! I am just giddy about this!! The closet will come out and an interior door will be added. Beyond that I'm not sure, but I'm having fun thinking about it ~ I am so excited!!

Stay tuned for updates!

We are getting ready to update 2 1/2 bathrooms! I have looked at so many toilets in the past month that I feel like I could lecture about them! Hahahaha! Can't wait to see your finished result. I already love the door.

How exciting - I can see why you would be excited!!! The exterior door is fab - the blind sandwiched in between is such a great idea too.
