My FIL & Betty Gable

Sunday morning Mandy, Katie & Mark are taking Bill to the US Open in New York City.  It's his belated birthday and Father's Day gift from the three of them.  They'll be going to an evening session on Sunday, spending the night in Queens and then going to a day session Monday afternoon.

That leaves Charlotte, my 92 year old father-in-law and me on our own from Sunday morning until Monday night.  Charlotte sleeps much better in her own crib than in the play yard at Gramma's house.  So Sunday evening we'll be heading over to her house for the night.

While my father-in-law was getting his exercise bike time in, I told him that he would be home all alone Sunday evening.  His reaction?  Well, he was VERY excited!  He said, "Hmmmm, I'll have to see if I can get a cute babe to visit me!"

He's a World War II vet ~ I know his preference......unfortunately she's not available.

I think I'll have Kevin or Joe hang out with him  ~ I don't want any wild parties going on!

And they say "kids say the darndest things!" Your FIL is a funny guy...you better call a few times on Sunday evening and make sure he doesn't have a party going on at your house! LOL!

Hi Marie,
Nice to meet you. I'm popping over from Joyce's Scrap for Joy blog to say hello. Your father-in-law sounds like a hoot. I somehow get the feeling if I was sitting next to him, he wouldn't run out of things to talk about. ;)
I'm off to scroll through some of your past posts, as I think I spied a couple of cute kittens on a Christmas card a little ways down.
Have a wonderful holiday weekend.
