Tea Bag Envelopes

Well, today I return to my "9 to 5" job.  My right knee is recovering well...I still have a lot of swelling so I'm a little concerned about that.  When it swells it throbs!  Plus, I developed some bursitis in my left hip.  Can you believe it!  Most likely due to the difference in my walking and maybe even because of some of the exercises I've been doing to strengthen my knee.  Sitting for any length of time is still an issue ~ but hopefully I'll be able to move around enough to not have any real problems.

The past two weeks I've finally been able to do some creating....something I had hoped to do a lot more of during the time I was off from work.  But I'm glad to have gotten at least a few things made.  I'd like to share some of my creations with you this week.

When Diane Knott sent me the beautiful pillow she made she included a pretty tag and this beautiful tea bag envelope. I loved the tea that was tucked inside and I loved the inspiration Diane provided me.  I decided I needed to try making some tea bag envelopes too.

Update!! Diane posted her pattern for these tea bag envelopes.
You can find it HERE!

Diane has a flap folding down in front and it's tied up with some crinkly black seam binding.  I decided to have my flaps fold down in the back ~ so of course you can't see them!  : )   I used a tiny piece of velcro to fasten the flap down.  Sorry I didn't take a picture of that.  I made six of them ~ two each of some scraps of pretty paper that I had.  They are perfect little gifts to tuck inside a greeting card.

One of the best parts of visiting blogs is being inspired to try new things. Thanks you Diane for, once again, inspiring me.  These were such fun to make!

Marie,
Totally cute!!
Is Diane's made of fabric? Looks like it.

Did she give a tutorial on this. I would love to make some for my store. I serve tea now, so seems appropriate don't you think??

Marie, I'm not sure if I want to be happy for you going back to work or not!! Still swelling and the pain in your hip....hoping you won't be uncomfortable on the job!! I hear you, girlfriend! Take good care and ask people to help you if you need it.
I think your tea bag envelopes are beautiful!! Aren't they fun to make! I think I have the pattern and can post it on my blog for people to download. I'll check! Good idea!
Take care!
Hugs, Diane
