Estate Sale Treasures

Katie and I went to an Estate Sale recently and we found some wonderful treasures!  Here's a peek at what I found.   I've been looking for an old Scrabble set with the light wood letters...I plan to use them to make some necklaces.  The old book, silver ice tea spoons, and the old folding ruler called out to me - "Marie, take us home" - and of course I did.  The other piece of silver is called a bonbon spoon.  I found this definition for it online:
"The bonbon spoon is a small spoon made to serve candy and nuts at a tea table. This utensil, which is also known as a nut spoon and a confection spoon, has a round shallow bowl that is solid or pierced and attached to a short handle. The bonbon spoon is approximately 4½ to 6½ inches long."
I don't know if I'll ever use it for nuts and candy....I bought it 'cause I like how it looks!

The gal running the sale said this silver piece (down below) was missing something so it was free...I said free is good!  It looks like it used to hold a jar of some sort.  Anyone know what it might be?  I love this sweet little pin...the colors are so pretty. Much prettier than the photo shows.  I did a little googling and found this website with the same pin for sale. Since I paid $1.00 for it - I'm thinking I got a good deal!

Three pair of cute baby shoes. The little T strap pair is my favorite.  Below this photo is my favorite purchase.  The old counter bell!  It was my very best buy.  25 cents!!!  It works perfectly too!

All of these wonderful things for the bargain price of $14.25!!!  I think it was an excellent way to spend a hour...can't wait to do it again!

You got lots of great stuff! I think the silver dish might be a coaster for a wine bottle. After years of my bonbon spoon lying in the drawer unused, I thought it would be great to use it to scoop up baby beets out of a jar or it could be used for anything that comes in liquid, maybe sliced pickles?
