Decisions, Decisions.

This dresser belonged to Bill's grandmother...it's now located in our living room.  The drawers are huge...it's a great place to store the things that aren't on display any given season. But it's showing some age....it needs some tender loving care.  Especially the top of the dresser.  I
just can't decide what that care will be.
Do I paint it?  Maybe decoupage it?  Maybe just give it a good cleaning and some fresh stain?  Whatever I do...should I do it to the whole piece?  Maybe just the top?
Maybe just the drawer fronts?  Hmmmm......

It will take me a while to make up my mind about what I want to do....it'll take me even longer to actually do it!  In the meantime, I'll just keep the top of it camouflaged with all kinds of treasures!!

I'm sure that whatever you decide it is going to look fabulous. It looks great the way you have it decorated right now

How about a combination of your ideas? Love the decoupage for the top and the numbered drawers. Pinterest is just a wealth of inspiration. I always have problems DECIDING on projects like that, too.
I love your arrangement on the top...you are so good at vignettes!

Hi dear blogging friend,
Thank you for stopping by yesterday. I love this piece of furniture! I've seen a lot of people paint their furniture coral lately. Also wide vertical stripes are beautiful. One piece I saw was painted a beautiful soft grey with wallpaper on the fronts of the drawers which was white with grey birds flying...beautiful!
I scrolled down to see your beautiful grands!!!! And your sweet mom! : ) Loooove that guest bedroom!
Take care Marie,
ML

What a beautiful piece. I like the painted distressed look, but then there's the question of what color?! I know however you go about it, it will end up gorgeous. I really like the way your treasures "camoflage" it.

Love the piece, I would do black chalkboard paint on the top then a vintage gray on chest. Your writing is lovely, so you could write something special for different times of the year along with a vignette to the side . Pj

I struggle with these kind of decisions too. You have a lovely collection of items displayed on top until you decide.
