I've been reading blogs since about 2008. For a few of those years I've enjoyed reading a blog written by a gal who lives in Westminster, MD. I live in Maryland too! In fact, only about an hour away from Westminster!!
These past few years I've read about the "tag sales" they have several times a year...but I've never been able to make it to one until this past Saturday. Bill and I (and Katie, Mandy, Mark, Charlotte, and Lulu) decided to head out (in the rain...in our two vehicle caravan) to Westminster for lunch (Charlotte chose Arby's) and a visit to Elizabeth and Co.
Saturday was the third day of the sale, and a lot of the things we admired in the photos on the blog were already gone, but I still found a few fun treasures! (Katie and Mandy did too!)
We've been looking for the perfect table to go next to Bill's chair, and we found it there!!
Even though I forgot to measure before we left home...the table was a perfect fit.
Now I just need to fill those shelves up!
I found some little treasures too. I love this distressed black box; and the white jar,
and the pair of silver napkin rings were bargains at $1.00 each.
I'll be creating something with each of them.
I also picked up this old sugar bowl, and "cherry" serving bowl.
I love the finishes on these two pieces. Little cracks and lines,
some yellowed discoloration, worn and loved.
At $5.00 each, they both found homes with me.
I'm so glad I finally got to visit Elizabeth and Co. (Katie and Mandy are too....they other four, well, Charlotte enjoyed the cookie she got there!) An hour ride there was worth it!* The next "tag sale" is in May...sure hope we can go again!
*Cathy and Missy thought 14 hours each way was worth it!
Read about that HERE!

Sounds like a fun road trip to me and you found some nice things. That table is awesome
Thank you for your kind words and for bringing your caravan to our little tag sale! We all loved meeting your family. And we're so glad you found some treasures to take home with you. Hope to see you again soon. Maybe it will even be a warm and sunny day next time!
Oh my gosh, I completely missed this post! You did find some wonderful treasures, Marie! Love the table...more shelves to decorate-Yay! I would have been attracted to that black box, too. You pottery pieces look old and the napkin rings are hammered...I love hammered jewelry and serving ware.
It looks like it was well worth the trip. What did the girls find?
i"m so glad I read this. May, huh?
xoxo
