I find some great supplies during the after Christmas sales.

These musical birds were bought after Christmas 2012....and they were bought

with crafting in mind.

I picked these birds up at Target,when they were 90% off. 

They cost a whopping 20 cents each! The shredded paper is from a food gift basket we received....so it was free.  I found a bag full of these tart tins at the thrift store.

There were sixteen in the bag and it cost $1.21....that's less than 8 cents a tin.

So, each of these little birds sitting on a nest cost less than 30 cents. 

Now that's something to "tweet" about!!

To celebrate 4 years of blogging and over 1200 posts I'd love to have a GIVEAWAY!!

I've gathered together a group of things I made and there will also be one more surprise (non-handmade) item that I'll announce later this week.

 

Here's a look at some of the handmade goodies.  I tried to choose "gifty" kind of things.  So if you don't really need them for yourself, you can share them with others.  There's a pretty collage designed on a piece of tin, a pincushion made with an old jello mold, a burlap pencil case that I decorated with some vintage trims and buttons, and a tiny little walnut pincushion. 

It's been a crazy weekend and I just didn't have time to take all the photos I wanted to....If you check out the last two photos below you'll see little peeks at more than these four items.  I'll share close-ups of those things tomorrow.  Then there's still the extra surprise - it's a "gifty" kind of thing too!!
