Christmas in July

Welcome to a Christmas in July Party.
My contribution to the party is "the Christmas Tree"....actually many Christmas trees!

I've gathered together some tree creations I made last year, and
a few new pieces as well.

Of course, you need snowmen to help with the Christmas trees!

A shiny red pick-up truck is great for bringing home the tree!.
But a vintage vehicle is even better!!

Spools & Trees & Sheet Music & Baker's Twine...some of
my favorite crafting supplies.

Of course, I like to throw a couple non tree creations too.

Jingle bells & glass glitter are a nice touch with the tree in the shadow box.

These little shadow boxes are leftovers from last year's shows.
I think I might distress them a bit for this year's.

Last year I found a big bag of trees at the thrift store.....quite a deal at $1.91!!

Time to get busy trimming the tree(s)!!

Now, it's time to get busy visiting all the other blogs
participating in the Christmas in July Party.
The party is being hosted by:

Head over to their blogs and you'll find
links to fun Christmas creations.
A big thank you to each of them for hosting this fun Link Party!!

P.S. There's only about 162 Days
until Christmas!!!

Notebooks

I picked up a bunch of  little notebooks from Dollar Tree last year.  They were four in a pack for $1.00!   This year they're selling them as a three pack of slightly heavier notebooks.  Either way a great deal!

They're fun, quick and easy to decorate.  They're a great way to use up small pieces of paper and tiny embellishments because they only 3 1/2 by 4 1/2 inches in size.  Here's a half dozen of them that I recently made.  They're one of my favorite things to create!

These two are my favorites from this batch. Picking out the images is the best part...sometimes I take forever choosing them.   Do you do that...do you debate forever over what picture to use or what button to add when you make something like this?

I hope you have a wonderful week.....doing whatever it is that gives you joy!

I'm Lovin' It ~ (happy mail)

It's time to join in.......

This Friday I'm Lovin' all the happy mail I've been receiving. It's such fun to get envelopes and packages that contain goodies from the people I've met in the Land of Blog.

I recently discovered Susie Harris and her blog. While visiting her I came across her Etsy shop and ordered this set of paper art. A bookmark, notecard and some very cute tags. The rectangular tags are layered so you can hide a little note underneath the top tag. I'm Lovin' this idea!

Debbie at News From Goat Creek and I recently worked out a trade. I sent her an old wooden bowl and she sent me this sweet salt dough letter M and a bunch of salt dough daisies!!

She sells the daisies and other salt dough creations here.
My daisies will be filling a small wooden bowl in my dining room. They are the cutest! Thanks for the trade Debbie ~ I'm Lovin' it all!

Tracey at Notes from A Cottage Industry recently hosted a giveaway ~ I entered ~ and I won!!
You know I'm Lovin' that! Take a peek at this pretty apron. The cross-stitching is beautiful. The little nest holds some Robin's eggs and the "Laundry" book is full of some wonderful tips...including "pinning pointers" (as in clothespin techniques). : )

Yes sirree.....this Friday I'm Lovin' the mail!
Make sure to stop by Tidymom's place and see what kind of things other's are lovin!!

I'm Lovin' It Fridays

Cheryl (aka Tidymom) has invited everyone to a new link up party. It's called "I'm Lovin' it" and it's all about.....whatever it is you're loving right now. Person, place or thing ~ if you love it ~ then share it with us.
Me personally ~ well I'm lovin' these paper flowers that Suzanne shared on her blog Paper Roses. I'm lovin' the colors of them and the simplicity of them. I'm really lovin' that not only did Suzanne share pictures ~ she also shared a tutorial for making them. That makes me happy!

Tutorial for Paper Flowers Part 2

As soon as I dig out my craft room I'm going to make some of these. Thank you Suzanne for sharing such pretty paper flowers with us!

Cheryl ~ Thank you for hosting this new link up party.
I can't wait to see what everyone else is lovin' today.
