Playing Catch

Joe & Elijah
"My father used to play with my brother and me in the yard. Mother would come out and say, "You're tearing up the grass." "We're not raising grass," Dad would reply. "We're raising boys."

Oh, what delight between a dad and his baby boy!

Marie, I had a friend who would use that same quote every time a lawn service would come to the door.(I often wondered where it came from )

I also had a grandmother who would hide her eyes in fear every time the dads played this game with the kids. I'm glad you can see the fun in in over the fear :)

I can almost hear the giggles coming from Elijah :) My kids both enjoyed this type of game when they were littlel

What a great picture. That can certainly be said about our yard/grass. It's obvious by the looks of our lawn all these years we certainly weren't raising grass, but active boys!

Thanks for sharing.

I'm one of those grandmothers whose heart comes up in their chest looking at this picture. I'm betting Elijah loves it though!

Great pic! So much love! once when Kelly did that to Bo we were on vacation & he threw him into a moving ceiling fan! I was watching & couldn't believe how he could make that mistake!:) But he felt pretty bad :)
