My Ordinary Life

On recent visits to two blogs that I love reading, I felt convicted to take some time and look around me for little things that make me happy.  Then to photograph those little things and share them on my blog.  Now it goes without saying that my grandbabies (who are often around me) make me very happy and I could take and share photos of them constantly.  However I don't think that was the intent of Diane and Becky.

What I took away from their posts was to slow down and see beauty in the regular daily stuff that is life.    Whether it be sunlight & shadows;  shapes in the snow;  or a bit of sparkle & some old wood.  You never know what you might see.

What is "ordinary" in your life today
that you can record?
Look more closely.

What about you ~ what simple pleasures brighten up your day?

So as I was walking out of my bedroom the other day I noticed this sparkly necklace hanging over the edge of an old window frame.  The window frame has been hiding behind the bedroom door ~ just waiting for me to do something with it.  The necklace is hanging on a little hook right above it.   I love the contrast between the two.
I never really noticed until I took some time to look around.....

Thanks Diane and Becky.

This is a wonderful idea. Sometimes it's the smallest things that can make us happy or give us smiles. I am trying to make time each day to do something I enjoy. It doesn't always work out.

Seeing your photo just brightened up my day, thank you. This shade of green (painted window frame) makes me feel hopeful that Spring will soon arrive.
