Jesus and the Lamb

I found this print in a thrift store years ago....and it's been displayed in many spots in my home ever since. It's most recent location is on a chest of drawers in my living room...in a simple Easter vignette.  It's one of most favorite pieces of art.  This sketch of Jesus and the Lamb "is a comforting depiction of a tender embrace by the nail-scarred hands of the Savior". The artist is Katherine Brown and she was inspired by Isaiah 40:11 to create this beautiful piece.

"He shall feed his flock like a shepherd: He shall gather the lambs with his arm, and carry them in his bosom, and shall gently lead those that are with young."  Isaiah 40:11

I am so glad He leads and carries me...and how precious it is to think He gathers me in His arms.

I'm linking up with Think on these Things over on Lorraine's blog.

Such a beautiful sketch! It reminds me of the song... Oh Lamb of God, Sweet lamb of God.

It looks lovely with the pieces you have displayed with it too.

Thanks, dear friend, so much for sharing with TOTT.
