Besides his day job (which is often also a night job - he's in retail), Bill has been staying busy at home. Last Wednesday he wrapped Christmas gifts and Thursday night he put Christmas lights on the bushes. It was a nice surprise because I really didn't think we were going to get to the lights this year. Guess what else was going on Thursday night? Rain...yep, he put the lights on the bushes in the rain! Sometimes I stood next to him holding the umbrella over his head (mine too), But mostly I watched from a distance....and took pictures!
Look how quickly he's moving in this next photo. He's moving so fast that it's all a blur! He knew coffee and warmth were waiting inside.
Here's a quick shot of our light display...not bad! Thanks Bill...you done good!
I mentioned that he was wrapping gifts a couple days ago.....remember the last photo in this post? Well here's how they turned out....I think they look good! Good job Bill!!
I had a request to show a photo of the hanging pewter pitchers....here they are. They're tied to an old scale which is hanging from the ceiling. Thanks for requesting an extra peek Heather!
We're getting together as a family to celebrate Christmas today. The whole bunch will be at my house from 9:00 AM until about 9:00 PM. We're having brunch and dinner, doing a bit of crafting with the "littles", watching some movies, playing some games, exchanging gifts, and just having fun!
I have some cut-outs depicting the Nativity that I bought for the "littles". I'm going to ask them to hold up the appropriate picture as we read about the birth of Jesus. Now I just need to get some popsicle sticks glued to the back of the cut-outs.....hmmmm, it's 2:00 AM. Wonder how much sleep I'll get before the first group arrives?? Have a happy Saturday....I know we're going to!

The kids will never guess what's in those packages with the handles sticking out! I love your Christmas preparations! Could your Bill teach my Bill how to wrap gifts? I do all of that myself around here. But he does do the lights outside, and very well. Your lights are awesome! I hope you have a beautiful week, Marie, and take lots of pictures to share. Merry Christmas, my friend.
Wow, Bill did a great job. Also you need to tell the folks he is an excellent cook!, Merry Christmas. Love, pj
