I Like Them Fake

I've tried to grow real flowers and plants.
They die.
All of them.
So I "grow" fake flowers.
They live forever.
That makes me happy!

So.....what do you think about fake flowers?
Yay or Nay?

Hi Marie, I do love real plants, but I am not very good at keeping them watered. Nor is my son, when we are away in France. So they end up a bit poorly at times. At the cottage in France we only have fake plants, because we are not there all the time to look after real ones. I do love being surrounded by plants, real or fake. Fake perhaps comes out tops, because it suits our current life style better.

You won't believe this.... I had the same thought this weekend! It must be spring fever. I was really cleaning the house... getting into every nook and cranny, and moving things around, trying to update as much as possible. And I brought up some silk flowers that were stored in the basement, trying to find a good spot for them. But I ended up taking them back down, because I didn't want people to snicker about me having 'fake' flowers... but I like them! They're pretty. I know they were not live flowers, and I don't pretend that they are... but how are those any different from having sculptures of people displayed as artwork? We know they aren't real people... it's art! Hey, I'm going to go get those flowers out and try again! Have a good day Marie!

Nothing wrong with some beautiful faux greens or flowering bushes to brighten your space! You know it will always look the same, never needs watering and you can tuck them in spots that a live plant may not flourish in. Guess you can tell I'm a "YA" on this one, I hope so since this is my line of work ;-) Designing with quality "fake" blooms!
Blessings,
Sheila

I think your fake flowers look real! Love to make daisies & sunflowers out of fabric too! ~*~Lisa

I'm like you, I try and I just can't make things grow. I think fake is wonderful. The best part is that for those of us in cold climates we can have them year round

Dear Marie,
your fake flower is very beautiful, in lovely red fabric, and looking wonderful. There are fake flowers I would not like in my house, but examples like this one will alwayes be welcome, among my real flowers.
Hugs and x, from Dorthe

I LOVE flowers but my cats eat the real ones so it's fake all the way for me!

Oh, I love them all! But I do especially love tending to the real ones.
