Opinion Please!

I decided to take a little break from organizing and cleaning to do a little creating.  As I moved my craft space from one room to another, I sorted through supplies.  I discovered so many things I forgot I had...like little brass goblets.  I thought I'd try turning them into pincushions ~ something I've seen done on Pinterest and Etsy.

It's been months since I've done any serious creating....my vision is lacking a bit.  I can't decide if I like the pincushions with or without the pearls around the edge.  I plan on embellishing them with some lace and stuff ~ but for now I'm stuck on "what about the pearls"?

So...what do you think?

I like this creating.  I really need to get back in the habit!

Hi Marie, Good for you that you took a break from cleaning and organizing.
I like the pincushion with the pearls. It gives a nice finish at the rim. Just my two cents.

Julia

Both are lovely... Maybe i like without a tad more just because lately i tend toward less. Hope you find more time in your beautiful creative space!

This is a cute idea...with or without the pearls.....although the thought of pearls and lace would make a luxurious pin cushion for sure!
Happy Thursday!

Hi Marie, I love these , think I like it better without pearls. Pearls seem to have a heavy look. When you add the lace and other things such as maybe some soft raised fabric with zig zag look around sides, plus a bead cherry in the middle might be nice. Just my thoughts. Pj

I like it with the pearls. It's too sharp of a contrast without. However without the lace and other things on it it's hard to tell if it will be overkill. Maybe you could do one of each and see which one you like more. Good to see you creating again. I love seeing the projects you do.

I'm just upset with myself for getting rid of a ton of similar goblets at a garage sale! I love when you create! Happy that you found time to do it. I like the one without the pearls for a simpler look, but if you do add lace, the pearls will be right at home.

I'll bet you have been creative in other ways, Marie, without even thinking it. You just have that creative sort of mind. I like them both! How about a cherry on top?

I'd go with the pearls, and for good measure a little lace or crochet flower as well ;-). I like embellishments.
