Why Didn't I Think of That?

I find some of the neatest ideas on Pinterest.
Here's a peek at several of them.

You know the first is going to really come in handy when the grandbabies visit!
#2 is functional and fun...one of my favorite combinations.
I already have an awesome place to store gift wrap...but I love the gift wrap corral!
There's a spot in my basement just waiting for a hanging bunch of garbage bags.
Speaking of spots...I need to find a spot to put some polka dots!

Wow! There are so many clever people out there!

Lowe's

We went away for a long weekend and when I returned I found a copy of one of Lowe's Creative Ideas magazines in my mailbox.  This particular one is creative ideas for Home & Garden. Lowe's also shares creative ideas for Outdoor Living and Weekend Projects.  The best part about these magazines is they're FREE!  Check it out HERE.

There are always some fun ideas in them.  These two caught my eye in this issue.

Mumpkins!  Pumpkins covered with Mums. Honestly, I'm not sure if I love these or not....but I definitely think they're very clever!  To summarize the fine print: Use an awl to poke holes about 1/2" apart around the whole pumpkin (except for the bottom).  Cut blooms with 2-3" stems, strip the leaves off and stick the stems in the holes.  The moisture from the pumpkin flesh will keep your mumpkin looking good for a few days.

This idea is also very clever and this idea I really like!  "Say goodbye to scattered mail....organize it with a strap hinge.  We regularly get mail for our children who no longer live at home. It's mostly junkmail so they're not very quick about picking it up.  This would be a neat way to contain until it until they do.

Now, I need to try and visit all my favorite blogs this weekend....I've missed everyone of you!!

Have a happy day!!
