Hope

This is my work room ~ it isn't worthy of being called a studio at this point. It's not even a very workable work room right now. We're going to be painting it and possibly putting in new flooring. Of course to do that I need to empty it out! I've been working on boxing things up and giving things away for several weeks ~ but with working the "9 to 5" bit, it's been hard to spend much time in here. But today is the day! I have hopes of a brighter tomorrow that includes a sunny, cheerful, organized studio. So I'm heading into the workroom shortly and I'm not coming out until I've had victory!

I need to get rid of some things ~ but by nature I am a pack rat.

Plus, I continue to "find" new things that I just know I can do something with! Of course I partially blame that on all the inspiration I'm finding here in the land of blog!

But I shall prevail! I'll be moving the boxed stuff out, boxing some other stuff up and sorting the keeps from the give aways (oh ~ "giveaways" ~ there could be some of those in the near future ~ depends what I discover today!)

My biggest problem is called "distraction". I get distracted so easily ~ an old magazine, or an "I forgot I had that" moment. But, as I mentioned, today is the day and the word of the day is FOCUS!

So......It is almost 7am my time.....I'm off to the kitchen for a cup of coffee, 4 points worth of breakfast (remember, I'm doing Weight Watchers) and a bit of quiet time with the Good Book and then..........I will venture into the abyss.
Stay tuned for updates and have a wonderful Saturday!

Good luck with all your work today! I am a pack rat too so I know how hard it can be to stay focused when you are re-discovering all the fun stuff you have :)

I laughed when I read your word of the day...Focus. That's my word for the year (from Ali Edward's challenge)and I'm failing every day. You have some fun supplies to play with Marie and it will be interesting to see them evolve into something wonderful!

Marie-I know just how you are feeling. My whole house needs me to take some time and reorganize and have the will power to toss some things out. Oh-btw-are those wooden spools or bobbins you have there? I have some too-from Pendelton Mills. I love them and don't know what to do with them. If you figure out what to do with yours, please let me know! Love~REE

Oh my, can I ever relate!!! I think creative people are just naturally pack rats. It comes with the territory. But...I do wish you well in your endeavor. : )
LOVED the photos of the grandbabies below!
