I found these paper mache birds in the $1.00 section at Michael's a couple months ago and I have been debating every since what I would be doing with them.  They are definitely going to be getting a coat of paint or a new layer of some kind of paper because I'm not loving the funky newsprint...especially the "electric golf" phrase. But I haven't been able to decide whether they'd end up in a nest or hanging or flying or  what.

But then I found this cute bird somewhere online. I'm so sorry that I didn't bookmark it....if you know whose design it is please let me know. Anyway, I love the legs on this guy! It doesn't show any feet but I think I'm going to use a single round base with two holes drilled in it for the legs. That should give it some stability.  The hat makes me my birds will be sporting some type of head gear.
This project is on my weekend to do this! It should be fun!!

Thanks so much to the artist who shared this sweet have inspired me!!
Now all I need is a french fry.  : )

Thank you to Angie of Hopemore....she found the artist who made this sweet bird on Etsy.  Visit the shop called'll find some wonderful creations.  My favorites ~ the birds, snowmen and elves!!
