Bill doesn't get the urge to paint walls very often...but he's had it lately! We're in the process of working on three different rooms. Two bedrooms and the family room. This of course means that twice as many rooms are in a state of disruption...'cause you gotta put the stuff somewhere!
Right now he's finishing up the walls in the family room...unfortunately he's not sure he loves the color we decided on. We're going to "live with it" for a few days and see what we think.
Two weeks ago he painted the walls in this bedroom a sunny yellow and this weekend I spent some time gathering up the things that will be in the room. I am so excited about this color combination!
The quilt is from Country Curtains...I wanted something with a lot of colors and I sure found it here. The pillow and lampshade are from IKEA. The lampshade was used in Charlotte's nursery but it doesn't work in her current pink bedroom....so Katie gave it to me. It's perfect...or at least it will be when I find a lamp to go with it!! I found the red and white fabric on Etsy and I'll be sewing curtains with it. I found the sweet rag doll at a local high school craft show. She's been waiting for a home for over a year...I think she's found it.
Remember the towel I used as a window treatment in the kitchen? I'm using it as my color inspiration for decorating throughout my home. My daughters told me to pick out something with colors I love to base all my decorating decisions on. This towel is it. It works with my living & dining rooms, family room, kitchen and two bedrooms. I was skeptical when they suggested this, because I didn't want the whole house to look the same. But it doesn't....as I finish rooms up I'll share them with you. Including that guest room that I've been working on for months!
I get to carry the towel from room to room now. It's no longer hanging in the kitchen window....Bill didn't like it there. He likes to see out the window he said! Imagine that!!
