Hoops

A couple old embroidery hoops can go a long way. Especially if you add an old, worn, vintage apron; and a brand new tea towel.  I showed you the vintage apron hoop before...but now I've made another hoop using a brand new towel. Old or new - they both look good!

I found the old apron at the thrift store. There were several holes in it and lots of loose threads, but the "good part" was just the right size for my 10 inch hoop.  I added some buttons and turned it into really cute wall art.

I filled the 12 inch hoop with the appliqued portion of a tea towel that I found at T. J. Maxx for $2.99.  Just about a perfect fit, and I love how it turned out!

Both hoops are hanging in the guest room.  Someday it will be all finished!

Love how you have displayed them! Soooo pretty!! I have some hoops here that I am about to spray paint and fill with my own stitched goodies, but haven't thought of displaying vintage stitcheries. Thanks for sharing that idea! :-)

What a neat idea. The pattern on that first one looks so familiar. I'm sure that growing up we had something with that on it
