I'm participating in my first "matchbox" swaps this year.
The first one is called "Petite Inspiration" and it's in a black and white theme. There are three of us in my group ~ there are nine other groups of three as well. My swap partners are Steph of Tart Deco and Marsha of Sassy Mini Dolls. This swap is being hosted by Heather of Speckled Egg. You can read all about the swap here.
This one was fun. I used two matchboxes (the larger size). I decorated them and then filled them up. The boxes are identical to one another except for my swap partners initials. As I said the theme was black & white and we had the option of going with a little bit of Halloween. Spiders and crows ~ that's some of my little bit!
Oh yes...and a little BOO too!
Here's a peek at some of the goodies I stuffed inside. Bits of laces, buttons, old jewelry and tags. A little bottle filled with pearls, some pretty paper shapes and a candy treat. Little bits of inspiration for the my swap partners pleasure.
I love the little bottle. There's one more Halloween treat too ~ a pretty bat! Don't you love the old spool with lace...only one of the boxes has that in it. Most of the treasures tucked inside are the same but I had to pick out a few special things for each of them.
The packages were mailed Monday morning. I hope Steph and Marsha like them!
Now I need to get to work on my other swap.
25 little matchboxes!
Have a HAPPY day!
PS. Anyone need any matches? I have a whole lot of them....maybe I can find someplace to buy empty match boxes!! : )

...and if you ever find out what to do with all those matches, please let me know LOL!!(because I'm also doing this swap and the 'countdown to Christmas one!!) ;)
I'm addicted to altering matchboxes, so if you ever fancy doing a swap, just let me know :)

Marie,
Those are fantastic, now I know what you've been doing in your new studio. I love the swap idea, the cream/black theme, and the little bit halloween.
Great petite inspiration boxes! I love the black and white theme with the Halloween touch.
Those are adorable. You are so creative. I love the way you put those together. I bet you could probably even come up with a craft to make something out of all those matches you have. Instead of buying the boxes of matches though, why not use one of the boxes you have now and use it as a template to make your own.
