Simplify #2

The ability to simplify means to eliminate the unnecessary so that the necessary may speak.

Simplifying (my One Little Word)  is not an easy thing to do.....but the magazines are 75% finished. So that's progress.

whenever I try to simplify I always seem to turn around and UN-simplify. It's a vicious circle with me...lol
I think you're making great progress

Progress indeed....I went through my CD's last night and bagged up over half of them...so many I haven't listen to in years...my son asked me ..Why are you always cleaning where no one can see?
I just looked at him :)
I try and weed a bit every week...maybe one day I will have it done(unlikely) Nothing every gets completely done...it is a daily practice...Keeping House! Blessings on your Lord's day Marie....Shelley

:) Good going!

I have to continually rein myself in. Yesterday at our Produce Junction where produce and flowers are very inexpensive, I was so tempted to purchase three tiny rose bushes in the cutest clay pots. They were priced 3 for 1.98. I passed. Then there were my favorite cut tulips. A bundle for 3.00. I purposefully remembered the pretty potted rose on my kitchen table (though beginning to fade)and made the decision to walk away from those very lovely tulips. It was hard. I'm still sad.

No sooner do I get things back to manageable but then it starts filling up again. sheesh...........

My biggest challenge... recipes. So many pass by my eyes everyday. But I have 100 times too many I try to file and organize. I have to get a grip :)

Have a great Lords Day, dear Marie!

If only I could practice that more ~ SIMPLIFY. I try, but always find myself off-task! LOL I'm working on it! :o)

I love your scrabble reminder. Where will you put it, to constantly remind yourself? I think I need a reminder that I can wrap around my credit card! Hope your foot is improving?

Trying to simplify takes patience...something I often struggle with. And balance too (just like this photo of the Scrabble tiles teetering on top of an uneven surface.)

I love that quote Marie - it's so very true. What a great word you have chosen!
I am sorry to hear about your friend's husband - it's awful how quickly things happen and lives are changed forever.
I am also sorry to hear about your foot and will be praying for the best possible news for you tomorrow - good luck Marie and keep well!
