Today is Rednesday

Red is my favorite color. Today I thought that I would join in with some other bloggers who also love the color red.  The hostess of Rednesday is http://suelovescherries.blogspot.com/.   Visit her blog and you'll find links to lots of other bloggers showcasing some of their favorite red things.

I was finally able to get my act together and get my Christmas decorations taken down last weekend.  I also put together a few subtle Valentine type things on my kitchen windowsill.....and they just so happen to be red!  It's such a cheerful color to look at...especially in contrast to the greys and browns in my backyard.

UPDATE: The straws were purchased last fall at Crate & Barrel. I've also seen them available on Etsy.

A little red goes a long way in brightening up my day!

Don't cute things on the window sill make you feel better about having to do nasty jobs like washing dishes or scrubbing the sink? I love the heart! Great Rednesday collection Marie!

Your Valentine decorations are really pretty, and I especially like the heart with the Mother pin on it! Those straws are such a fun touch too, and perfect not just for Christmas or Valentine's Day, but any day of the year!
Happy REDnesday!
