Mail & Other Treasures

One of my favorite things about blogging is all the on-line shops I've discovered through the blogs I've visited. This past week I received orders I placed with two of those shops. Most of my home is decorated in a country prim look, but I do love a little bit of pink & green & shabby chic. I ordered some pretty pink things from Kathryn at Our Shabby Cottage.

I ordered this beautiful pincushion for a gift, but once I received it I decided it had to be mine! Maybe I'll have to order another one!

The pillow is for my shabby chic bedroom ~ I love the image Kathryn used on it. She even included a little gift packet of some fabric, lace & buttons ~ something for me to create with!

I also bought some wonderful paper art from Kelli at There's no Place Like Home. I just love the book corners she makes. I ordered some of these for gifts too ~ fortunately there's two of each style! I can keep one for myself and share the other!

I bought some pretty tags too ~ my favorite is the blue one with the birds & brown ribbon.

I purchased this hatpin holder at an auction sometime ago ~ but I didn't have any hatpins. Just before Christmas I found this pretty hatpin at a craft show. One more and I'll have a collection!!

The other day, I saw these little houses & trees while visiting The House of Whimsy. So I stopped at Pier 1 to see them. I decided they were a little too seasonal for me BUT look what I found instead!

I love these little paper luncheon plates. I'm going to save one and take the rest to work. They'll be a cheerful addition to my lunch break!!

"Behold the birds of the heaven, that they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; and your heavenly Father feedeth them."
Matthew 6:26

Very pretty Marie!

What a shame the plates are paper and not ceramic! How sweet they are, as are all of the other treasures you found.

I saw those same plates today on my trip to Pier 1....because of House of Whimsey! She should be on commission. Hahahaha. I didn't buy the plates but I would have bought the napkins if they had had birds or nests on them. They were the most beautiful shade of blue. Spring-please come soon.
