Well, here it is...my very first car. A 1966 Dodge Polara. Actually this isn't the exact car ~ I couldn't find a picture of it. Mine looked just like this except it was a nice golden tan. It was my Mom's car and she gave it to me when I graduated from high school in 1973. It was a great car ~ until the transmission went out on it. But once that was taken care of ~ well, it was great again. I wasn't the only one who thought so either. I went shopping one day ~ about two weeks after I got the Dodge back on the road ~ I came out of the store and headed for my car. "Hmmmm...I thought I parked it here. Maybe it was over there or there...." It was no where to be found....It was GONE...RIPPED OFF...STOLEN!! What made it even worse? My favorite beach towel was in the car too! : )

Hi Marie,I never had a first car...just the ones my husband and I had together after we were married! As a matter of fact I didn't get my DL until I was 31. Can you believe that? I did do a little driving before that,to church and back,etc! We were pretty poor and I didn't have spending money so I stayed home and found plenty to do around the house. My Mama would come by and pick me up some time and I would go to town with her. Those were fun times...since I didn't get to go go often!
