Unexpected Art

There was a small area (right below the blue flower) that needed a bit of art work.
A trip to the Dollar Section at Target solved the problem.

I found this sweet little greeting card....and it's the perfect fit!
Love that dollar stuff!!  Love my guest room too!

Hope you have a sun shiny day!
(even it's gloomy outside!)

Guest Room 3

Well Bill and I were both off yesterday.  He washed windows, installed curtain rods in the living room, and cooked dinner.  I shopped.  I know, it hardly seems fair.  I had to drive all over town, in and out of the car and the stores, sitting forever in the drive thru line waiting on a iced tea...I was worn out when I got home!  Seriously, it was a good day.  We accomplished a lot.  I found several things for the guest room...we're closing in on finishing it!

A bunch of pink daisies from the $ store.  If you read yesterday's post you'll know that Penelope will like these!

I have birds scattered throughout the house, so of course I needed one in the guest room. I found this cute little guy at Hobby Lobby.  The chippy pots are from my favorite antique mall...I just found out that they're closing!  It's really sad. But I did get a couple good discounted treasures because of it.

This picture is actually a card from the dollar spot at Target.  I popped it in a $2.00 white frame and there you have it.....instant, fun art. I love it!

Here's one of the good discounted treasures I bought.  It's a gate.  It even has a big tag on it that says it's a gate.  The gate is in the guest room....can you guess what I'm using it for??

Grand.....babies!!

I love the Dollar Store!
I mean really.....sometimes they get the best stuff!
All three of the bigger grandbabies love their new "Fashion Glasses".  Black frames and clear lenses = very cool!
Of the ten adults in our family, nine wear glasses.
So these little ones feel right at home!
As for Caleb....I think he's wondering why he got left out!

May I Have This Dance

I stopped at Dollar Tree after work yesterday.  I needed a couple little storage containers but I absolutely didn't need anything else!  Until I saw this.....
The (solar-powered) dancing flower!!  I had to have it!  The little leaves bounce gently up and down and the flower sways from side to side.  It really dances.  It reminds me of Spring.  Perfect.

That's What Friends Are For!

Dawn from The Feathered Nest shared a "glimpse" at this calendar she found at Michael's. Visit her and you'll see a peek at the beautiful photos inside. Well I decided this calendar would be a perfect bit of pretty next to my desk at work, so I stopped in Michael's after work today.

I found the calendar and I love it!

I also found a whole lot of new goodies in the dollar section.
I only bought half of what caught my eye ~ I'm already sitting here thinking about what I need to go back for!

Look at these wonderful stamps ~ I bought ten of them. Enough of an assortment to do the first and last initials for all my family! Check out the Elijah and the Charlotte and the Penelope ~ and the M to go with the E for me! Aren't these great! $1.00!! (each, of course!)

Three frames ~ wonder what, make that who, I'm going to put in these? I'll give you three guesses!
Orange, Red & Pink. These are for my workroom.

A place to jot down ideas and stuff!

And pencils to jot with!
Aren't these little tubes of pencils so cute? I'm hoping the labels peel off without tearing the tube. But if that happens I'll just have to cover them with a nice paper.

Of course I went with a 40% coupon ~ how could I not!
I found these sparkly, glittery brown photo corners and saved $1.60! I don't know what I'm going to do with them but I needed them!

Thanks a bunch for mentioning the calendar Dawn ~ I love it and all the other treasures I discovered along the way!
