Lulu's Sweet Mouth

Look at this sweet face and that cute little mouth.

That cute little mouth gets quite a work out.  

Lulu loves to eat...pretty much anything!  

I hope that lasts. 

I hope her taste buds don't get fussy as she gets older.  

Look how intent she is on these grapes that she's 

eating...how much she's enjoying them...how focused she is!!

Then it was time for the "good to the last drop" applesauce!  This is one of her VERY favorite things to eat!  But it's not just fruit.  This girl eats pretty anything you put in front of her.  She's not a fan of breads...but give her some veggies, meat, cheese, eggs, pasta....she'll gobble it all up!

This sweet little girl hasn't been feeling well for several days. She has a virus that causes some blisters in her mouth.  It's definitely taken some of her appetite away.  

But, it's allowed for some extra cuddle time for Lulu and her Momma!

Daffodils & Prayers

Bill and I went grocery shopping this week.  While he went to get a shopping cart, I visited the little floral department, and immediately spotted these sunny, yellow, Tête-à-Tête Daffodils.  Bill returned with the cart....and they were the first item I put in it!

 

Wouldn't it be lovely to have a garden full of these blooms?!

How can you look at this flower and not smile? 

I think it looks like a little, yellow top hat!

 Narcissus and daffodils are two different names for exactly the same bulb. 

Narcissus is the Latin name for daffodils while daffodil is the common name for all

members of the genus Narcissus.  Did you know this? I didn't!

 

I have the day off from work today.  I've been having some back and hip problems,

and I'm getting an injection that will hopefully help with the pain.  My appointment is in the

morning....afterwards I'll be taking it easy at home. 

I'll have all afternoon to enjoy my sunny, yellow daffodils!

98.6

Tuesday evening, Katie got a reading of 98.6, when she checked Charlotte's temperature.

It may not stay that way....but thankfully there's some improvement going on!

They had a tough time tracking down Tamaflu...but to Charlotte's delight, momma & daddy found some for her.  Just kidding....Charlotte says Tamaflu is "real yucky"!  Thankfully, Katie has been very creative in camouflaging the taste of the yucky stuff...and Charlotte has been such a trouper about taking her medicine.  She's knows it's going to help her feel better.  She also knows that lots of people are praying for her to get better. 

Friday through Monday......four very long days! But late Tuesday brought improvement and encouragement.  Charlotte goes to see her pediatrician today. We're praying for a good report.

Thanks so much for all the prayers...I can't express how much it means to me to know that you're praying for my family.  Please continue praying....we have a special event coming up in two weeks and we sure want EVERYONE to be nice and healthy for it!

Flu

 

This little gal has the flu, pink eye, and the beginning of pneumonia....prayers for healing are greatly appreciated!

Prayers for her pregnant momma, and worried daddy are requested as well.  This tired gramma could use some too.  This post is going up "real-time"...yes, it is 3:07 AM.  Evening trips to the ER will do that.  : (
