Strawberry Giveaway

I've been doing some purging lately....lots of it.  Soon my family will have a yard sale....a really big yard sale!  My daughters, daughters-in-law, and I  have decided we all have too much stuff.  As I've been sorting through my stuff I've been putting some things into my "blog giveaway" box.  Things that I thought some of my blogging friends might like...things that are small, lightweight, and easily mailed. I'll be sharing them with you, every now and then, throughout the Spring & Summer.

 

Here's my first offering.  Strawberries from Crate & Barrel.  I bought these after Christmas a few years back.  They were 70% off...that's why I bought them.  Sad to say....I've never used them. They've just sat in the Crate & Barrel box since they were purchased. Surely someone can make better use of them than I have. 

 

Please leave a comment here if you're interested in winning 5  6 shiny strawberries (about the size of a golf ball)....I found one more after I took these photos!  Maybe you can share your favorite way to eat strawberries in your comment....I like to eat mine just as they are. Plump, red and juicy! Yum!!

Something New

My daughter-in-law Jacqi and I went to the Antique Mall a week ago and I found this wonderful little strawberry pincushion wired onto this fabric covered box.  Cute ~ right!?  I think so!

I love strawberries ~ all kinds of strawberries ~ fat, juicy ones & pretty fabric ones too!

I have this bowl full of them in my dining room. Most of them belonged to my mother-in-law. I have a folder on my laptop that is full of strawberry images ~ just because I like to look at them. I try to have a bowlful of the juicy ones around as often as possible ~ just because I like to eat them! Yummy! I have others scattered through-out the dining room just because......

I was browsing at Flickr and Etsy and found some wonderful images of strawberry pincushions to add to my folder AND I found a couple new strawberries I'd like to buy. Nice that I still have my Etsy $$$ that my daughters gave me for my birthday!!

A Quiet Evening

I was so glad when the work day ended today ~ I was up early for a doctor appointment and then it was a crazy busy day at the office! What a treat to know that I would be heading off to my "vacation home" for another quiet evening! But first a stop at the grocery store.

 

I picked up some veggies & strawberries. I also got some soy milk to go with my cereal. I've never tried soy milk....but I've heard good things, so I'll give it a shot!

 

 

When I arrived at my friend's home last night, there was a pile of tomatos on the counter. So for dinner I sliced them thick and ate them with some cheese. I also had a little bit of potato salad that I picked up. I ate outside while Chewy got some exercise. It's been a very nice evening so far. Next stop a comfy chair ~ with a stack of magazines and that bowl of strawberries!
